Prostate Problems? - Saw Palmetto Plus M (Misai Kucing) 保泌多

Saw palmetto has long been used in Europe to treat an enlarged prostate or benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). With the saw palmetto extract most men achieve some relief of symptoms within the first 30 days.

What is Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia?
Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) or prostate enlargement is the most common non-cancerous enlargement of the prostate gland in men.

BPH rarely causes symptoms before age 40, but more than half of all men in their 60s and as many as 8 out of 10 men in their 80s have some symptoms of BPH.

The actual factors of BPH are unknown. However, it has been known that BPH occurs mainly in older men, probably related to aging and hormone. As a person ages, more testosterone will be converted to dihydrotestosterone (DHT), which will lead to high occurrence of BPH.

Symptoms:

  • Incontinence
  • Urinary hesitancy, interrupted and/or weak stream
  • Leaking or dribbling
  • Frequent urination, especially at night
The bladder wall becomes thicker, irritable and eventually damaged, therefore it will weaken and lose the ability to empty itself and cause incontinence.

Are there any treatment choices?

  • Surgery (TUIP, TURP, Open prostatectomy)
  • Balloon dilation
  • Drugs - alpha-blockers
But, all of these treatment choices may cause adverse side effects such as impotence, incontinence, re-treatment and potentially deleterious.

Among the benefits of Saw Palmetto Plus M (Misai Kucing) are:-
  • Improves prostate health
  • Improves urinary flow
  • Improves BPH symptoms by having anti-inflammatory property
  • Reduces the frequency and urgency of urination
  • Without adverse side effects
How does it work?
Dihydrotestosterone (DHT) is a stimulator of prostate gland growth and is responsible for the overproduction of prostate cells, which ultimately gives rise to enlarged prostate. Saw Palmetto Plus M reduces the level of DHT in prostate tissue. This is done by inhibiting the enzyme 5-alpha-reductase that converts testosterone into its active metabolite, DHT. Moreover, Saw Palmetto Plus M prevents DHT hormonal action via blocking its binding to prostate cells.

Who should not take it?
If you have prostate cancer, breast cancer, or any other sex hormone-related disorder, please consult your doctor before use. Due to possible hormonal activity, it is not recommended for women who are pregnant or breast-feeding.
